Queen Of Hearts Runway Show

Anna Fong’s fashion show was the perfect grand finale to Chicago’s Fashion Focus week.  The Chicago native showcased an exclusive preview of her Queen of Hearts Collection set to debut next spring.  Taking place at the Radisson Blu, the event was high society from beginning to end.

Several options for plush seating lined the hotel’s foyer.  Gold flakes dripped from the walls barely missing the heat coming from the enclosed fireplace that spanned its length.  The paintings in the corridor leading to the show served as a precursor for guests to enjoy prior to moving on from still art to the moving art of fashion.

Guests enjoyed spirits while mingling amongst a melting pot of Chicago.  City officials, award-winning photographers and socialites mingled with fashion gurus, business owners and aspiring talents.  Wearing a gold-studded, backless Anna Fong original, host Arsiak Vartenian encouraged the crowd to participate in the silent auction benefiting the Metropolitan Breast Cancer Task Force before emceeing the event.

White VIP bags lined the seats of the front rows to the show that promptly began with strategic lighting and base-filled music.  Fong’s award-winning style became apparent as each model walked the runway.  The audience was engulfed in colors of lace along with dresses highlighted with sheer trimmings and heart-shaped backs. Taking inspiration from the Victorian era, Fong’s Queen of Hearts collection is an array of classic pieces updated for the modern woman-a woman that exudes confidence and grace and has the spunk to pull it off.  The structure and style of each piece captured the audience’ attention until each model glided in the show’s final walk when applause erupted in a universal show of approval.

    Anna Fong is definitely a designer on the rise. Her work is cutting edge. I love how her runway show was a spectacular event and also benefited Breast Cancer Awareness. Fantastic article!
