03 Apr, 2014

Duke-bound Whitney Young star Jahlil Okafor showed the rest of the country what we already knew in Chicago, he is a beast. Okafor was named  Co-MVP after leading the West team to a 105-102 victory at the 37th annual McDonalds All-America game held at the United Center.

Okafor shared the MVP honors with Justin Jackson, a 6-7 five-star forward from Texas who will be taking his talents to North Carolina to play for the Tar Heels. Jackson was the leading scorer with 23 points, going and impressive 11 if 12 shooting.  Okafor ended the night with 17 points and 7 rebounds.

This face off is to be continued in the classic rivalry of Duke vs North Carolina next season.

Fellow Chicagoans Cliff Alexander, who will play for Kansas next season, finished the game with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Marian Catholic standout Tyler Ulis scored 5 points and had three assists and three rebounds. He will join the Kentucky Wildcats in the fall.

Check out some of the behind the scene footage of these future stars before the big game as they hit the Windy City.

Cheers!
