Classy Send Off For Chicago Bear Favorite Peanut Tillman

20 Nov, 2016

The Charles ‘Peanut’ Tillman Era came to an end how it started – on a cold night in Chicago. A host of current and former NFL players from around the league including Former Chicago Bear and current NY Jet Matt Forte and New Orleans Saints Roman Harper attended the upscale retirement party at Soldier Field that was fitting for a Chicago Bears legend and fan favorite.

A multitude of former teammates including All-Pros Lance Briggs, Jared Allen and Jerry Azumah were on hand to welcome Peanut into retirement.

The night rivaled a Hollywood awards atmosphere as guests enjoyed cocktails, the official Bears band and witnessed an artist paint a live picture of Tillman.

The over 300 guests in attendance braved the brisk November weather to view the giant video tribute to Tillman displayed on the Jumbotron that included personal tributes from Former Coach Lovie Smith to former teammate Brian Urlacher. An elaborate fireworks display ended the night fittingly the same way Tillman said goodbye to football. With a bang.

Thank you Peanut.
