Henson whose lead role as Cookie Lyons dominates the show with fiery and quick one-liners and fashion that’s emulated with a line available at Saks Fifth Avenue. Henson will appear in upcoming film Hidden Figures, based on NASA mathematicians Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) who crossed gender and race lines to help launch astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into outer space.
Henson is also giving fans a personal look inside of her life with a memoir entitled “Around the Way Girl” that’s currently available for purchase.
