Money Mayweather Stops Through Chicago before Rematch

12 Sep, 2014

‘Mayhem’ rolled in town when the press tour for the rematch between 11-time world Champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Marcos Maidana took center stage in Chicago. The 5 city four day press tour provided plenty of electricity for the Sept 13th title bout. The Trending Report was front and center for the action once again.

Last Mayweather press conference in Chicago

The fighters squaring off in the middle of the stage was about the only customary thing that took place. Maidana was composed as he proclaimed he would “give Mayweather a beating then, knock him out!”

Things got heated after Maidana’s trainer, Robert Garcia took the podium and stated “I retired 13 years ago but If I were to fight like a bitch I would probably still be undefeated…like you!  If I was to fight like a bitch and run like a bitch like I’d still be undefeated.”

The crowd erupted into cheers of ‘Chino’ and boos from the Mayweather contingent, but none of it fazed the champ. He responded to the insults by playfully mocking the trainer and signing autographs for fans while he was talking and he even found and Argentinian soccer jersey to sign.

(For the record Maidana is Argentinian)

When ‘Money’ stepped to the mic he simply stated that “all work is easy work and September 13 will be easy work.” All the shit talking and posturing is done now its time to settle it in the ring.

Some say the last match was Mayweather’s toughest and the Maidana’s camp still claims victory. I’m ready to see who will be left standing Saturday night.

Who you got?
