Police Arrest Naked, Bloody Buffalo Bills Receiver

21 Mar, 2018

Bills receiver Zay Jones was arrested Monday night following a disturbing altercation with his brother that ended with a naked Jones smashing his foot through a window of an apartment complex, according to TMZ Sports.

In the graphic video, a stark naked Jones is seen tussling with his brother, Vikings practice squad member Cayleb Jones, in the hallway of an apartment building. Jones can be heard shouting, “I’m going to fight for Jesus!”

According to TMZ Sports, Cayleb was trying to prevent his brother from jumping out of a 30th floor window. Cayleb can be heard yelling “Stop!” and appears to be trying to restrain his younger brother.

Jones, however, breaks free and sprints down the hallway, resulting in a woman screaming in fright. According to TMZ Sports, Jones ran into his brother’s girlfriend’s apartment, before eventually running back out and entering a public balcony area.

Jones then smashed his foot through a window. The 22-year-old receiver proceeded to try to squeeze through the hole in the window but was subdued by his brother before police arrived and arrested Jones for felony vandalism, according to TMZ Sports.

Video shows blood sprayed onto the smashed window and on the floors and walls. A woman can be heard in the background saying, “It looks like a f—ing murder scene.”

Jones is currently being held in the medical ward of L.A. County Jail.

The Bills released a statement shortly after the video’s release.

“We are aware of the incident involving Zay Jones. We are still in the process of gathering more information on the matter. At this point, we will have no further comment,” the statement reads.

Jones was drafted by the Bills in the second round in 2017 after starring at East Carolina and setting the FBS record for career catches with 399. The 22-year-old receiver, however, struggled during his rookie campaign with the Bills, finishing with only 27 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns.
