RHONJ Star Tied to Double Murder

21 Mar, 2017

A car registered to “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Kim DePaola was found torched Friday in Paterson with two bodies inside that had been shot execution-style.

DePaola, 56, in an Instagram post on Sunday, said that both she and her son, Chris Camiscioli — the usual driver of the Audi — “are safe.”

“Our deepest condolences go out to the victims’ families of this truly horrific tragedy,” she wrote.

Police have still not identified the two victims, whose bodies were burned beyond recognition, but the family of Aaron Anderson, 27, believe he may be one of the dead.

Anderson’s mother, Michelle, told The Post he was a friend of Camiscioli and had been driving his car after dropping him at the airport Wednesday.

“I knew it was my son,” she said, refusing to speculate about what happened but noting he hasn’t returned her calls since Friday.

DePaola does not appear to be a suspect. TMZ has reported her son last drove the car Wednesday, when Anderson dropped him off.

On Friday, residents near East 28th Street in Paterson said they heard shots, then saw the car erupt in flames minutes later. Rescuers had to cut the roof off the vehicle to pull out the bodies.

Police sources told TMZ the victims were each shot in the head. The badly charred remains are still being identified through dental records, police told the site. One source said the remains were so severely burned that investigators couldn’t immediately determine the race or genders of the victims, but later learned both were men.

Authorities told NorthJersey.com they were investigating the crime as a double homicide. “I can’t tell you why we are treating it as a homicide, but we are treating it as a homicide,” said Paterson police Capt. Richard Reyes.

Although a motive for the crime has not been determined, investigators are looking into whether drugs were involved, according to NBC.

DePaola appeared on 20 episodes of the Bravo reality show from 2010 to 2013, then launched a clothing store called Posche in her native Wayne. The shop was closed Sunday, and no one answered the door at her nearby condo.
