Ricky Boots ‘Ultimate Tailgate Experience’

Being a life long Bears fan I have been to my share of games and tailgate parties. So when I was invited Sunday to tailgate before the Bears vs Packers I thought ‘if you have been to one tailgate you have been to them all’…..I could not of been more wrong.

The ‘Ricky Boots Tailgate Experience’ is like no other. The flags waving high above Burnham Harbor directed me to the location. The 1st thing you notice is the fully functioning tailgate ambulance named ‘Bear Force One.’ Complete with a sound system that could be used by a rock band, this is the centerpiece of the party. The inside is heated to aid those who cant handle a little December lake breeze.

Under a tent there is a banner that was donated by the vodka company of choice denoting the brand that is proudly served. At a tailgate?

2 enormous grills where going and they have been fired up since 8am for a Noon kick-off. There were over 100 hungry Bear fans that needed fueling up to cheer versus our hated rival.

The food table was 30 feet long and it had it all. I don’t mean burgers and hot dogs. The options ranged from parmesan chicken wings,stuffed mushrooms, shrimp de jonghe, garlic mashed potatoes filet Vesuvio, bacon wrapped dates and grilled moose meat. Yes you read that right, moose meat. I ate better here than I have at some weddings.

There was beer and bloody marys to wash it all down and Man-mosas for those who were drinking lite. The brave or foolish who wanted to revisit the college years, bongzilla was ready and waiting!  After a few hours of over indulgence there was still a game to attend.

Ricky Boots is the properitor of Home Made Chicago Catering www.homemadechicago.com and if he can do this for an insane tailgate I am confident he can handle your office party or gramdma’s 80th birthday celebration, no problem.

I went, I saw and I am living proof there “aint no tailgate, like a Ricky Boots tailgate!” If your in town next season….and your a Bears fan come and witness for yourself.
