The Three Best Quarterbacks Under 25

24 Jun, 2013

The NFL has seen an influx of young talent at the quarterback position in recent years, and many teams are turning themselves around thanks in large part to that star. However, who are the best of the best when it comes to who you would want to start a franchise with? Here’s a look at the three best signal callers who are under the age of 25.

Cam Newton

A lot of people forgot about Cam Newton due to a rough first half of the 2012 season, but he finished strong and actually had a better individual year than he did in 2011. With the Panthers now healthy and returning most of their key players, they feel as though a playoff berth will be obtainable.

Newton has the best blend of speed and passing skills amongst the youngsters, and in year three, he should be ready to explode making fantasy football 2013 Newton’s year.

Robert Griffin III

Griffin could easily make a case for #1, but until he is fully back from his knee injury, he is a slight risk. One of his best attributes at the quarterback position is the fact that he can create with his legs. He will need to be more of a pocket passer this season, and possibly the rest of his career. Fortunately, he is good enough to do that, but it does make him slightly less valuable.

Russell Wilson

Just one season ago, Russell Wilson really was not even on the radar. It appeared as though he would simply be a backup for a while, but he won the Seahawks position and never looked back.

Wilson really only has one true weakness, and that happens to be his size. However, he played like a solid veteran in his first season, so he should only get better moving forward. He shows a bit more poise, and his is more mobile than the others considered for this third spot.
