In a continued effort to revamp its line-up, TruTV rolled out the mid-season premiere of it’s first-ever sketch-comedy series ‘Friends of the People.’

If you’re thinking this is just another comedy variety show, Jennifer Bartels and Lil Rel Howery who stars on the series says, “Think again!”

The Trending Report talked with the two who gave us insight on how the show started and why it’s not like anything you’ve ever seen.

Bartels, who was hailed as One of the Nation’s ‘Top 5 Funniest Women’ by the NY Daily News holds her own as the only female cast member while Howery dives into how merging artists backgrounds makes for more comedy fun.
