Roka Akor Chicago Previews Kaiseki Menu
05 Dec, 2012
The Sake & Shochu Lounge of the upscale Japanese restaurant Roka Akor was cleared to host its VIP winter menu preview party. The intimate gathering of select Chicagoans mingled in the dimly lit area whose architecture that boasts natural and reclaimed materials created a smooth ambiance.
Guests mingled amongst themselves while sampling custom drinks and an array of colorful food bites that showed how Roka Akor earned Bon Appetit’s backing as one of ‘the top 10 sushi spots in the United States.’
Servers consistently walked through the crowd providing guests with a host of tasting options from its Kaiseki Menu including: Flame Seared Uni Nigiri, Gobo Soup, Robata Grilled Alaskan Halibut, Robata grilled Wagyu confit Short Rib with truffle maitake mushroom, and a trio of Oyster selections.
Kabocha Pumpkin and Hot Buttered Sake were among the beverage highlights.
The menu will officially launch December 21.
If you’re in Chicago for business or pleasure Roka Akor will meet your needs. Their private dining options coupled with its sheer decor and live-cooking demonstrations makes it an experience you won’t want to miss.
