Lollapalooza 2013 Line up Announced
01 Apr, 2013
After weeks of speculation, the 2013 Lollapalooza lineup was officially revealed today. The Cure, Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar, the Killers, Nine Inch Nails and Phoenix will all perform at the summer festival at Grant Park in Chicago.
After Phoenix headlines Coachella and Mumford & Sons takes top billing at Bonnaroo, the pair of Glassnote bands will head to Chicago for Lollapalooza, which will run from Aug. 2-4. As reported last month, Nine Inch Nails will also be part of the festival, as part of the group’s comeback tour that will run into 2014.
The Killers will return to Grant Park after last playing Lollapalooza in 2009, and the Cure will be making its long-awaited Lolla debut as a headliner. The Killers released fourth studio album “Battle Born” last September, while the Cure’s last studio effort was 2008’s “4:13 Dream.” According to a press release, the Killers and NIN will headline Friday, Aug. 2; Mumford & Sons and the Postal Service will top the Aug. 3 bill; and the Cure and Phoenix will close things out on Aug. 4.
