2015 MLB Fantasy Baseball Sleepers

The 2015 MLB season is right around the corner, and that means people are looking for a sleeper or 2 to draft in fantasy baseball. Every single year at least a few players are able to break out and play at an All-Star level. Here is a look 5 players who will have much better seasons than most people are expecting.

Avisail Garcia 

The Chicago White Sox should be better in 2015, and they have a promising young outfielder who could be ready to take that next step. Garcia is someone who is not getting all of much publicity right now, but that is because he missed a lot of time last year due to shoulder surgery. He has already played in 3 different seasons at the MLB level, and he has shown the ability to hit for average with a little bit of power as well. Expecting something like a .275 batting average and 15 to 20 home runs seems pretty solid.

Danny Salazar 

It is normal for people to be a little bit worried about Salazar and his inconsistency in the past. However, the 25-year-old seems to really be maturing so the Cleveland Indians. He was very strong down the stretch for them last year, and it seems like his control is much better. Since you can draft him pretty late, he is someone to take a flyer on for sure in fantasy baseball.

Mike Zunino 

The catcher position isn’t exactly loaded with talent, but every fantasy baseball team needs a guy. Zunino continues to slip in drafts, even though he has some of the best power at that position. His batting average really hurts him, but he should be better this season with a better supporting cast in Seattle.

James Paxton 

One of the guys who will be throwing to Zunino this year in Seattle is James Paxton. At 26 years old, Paxton is looking for a healthy season after only making 13 starts in 2014. If he can continue to have an ERA around 3.00, he’ll exceed expectations easily.

Mike Napoli 

Most sleepers are younger players coming into their own. Napoli has been around for years now, but people seem to be ready to throw him aside. The Boston Red Sox were bad last year, but the offense will be better. Expect him to do a lot better than his .248 batting average and 17 home runs a year ago.
