Having a Good Laugh, For a Good Cause

Hundreds took over the Laugh Factory in Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood as part of the ASAP (Azumah Student Assistance Program) Foundation’s annual comedy charity event. It was an event to see and be seen with athletes from both the Chicago Bears and Bulls joining local socialites and others in supporting the foundation’s yearly event. Former Chicago Bears cornerback and philanthropist Jerry Azumah started the foundation that gives scholarships to underserved students

The list of comedians included Tony Sculfield, Lisa Treyger and B. Cole but it was host WGCI radio personality Leon Rogers that stole the show. His ‘Game of Thrones’ versus ‘Hillbilly’ vernacular prompted crowd participation including scenario suggestions that Rogers quickly complied with. It was easy to get swept up in the stories that these talented comedians were able to articulate.
The Trending Report has been in attendance since the existence of this event and it never disappoints! The laughs are definitely worth a work night on the town but the true benefit is knowing that we’re chuckling it up for a great cause.
