Tonight’s the Night: Megan Fox is New Girl’s New Girl

FOX’s hit series New Girl is back and we’ve got all the deets on how big a role Megan Fox will play during Zooey Deschanel absence. While Deschanel’s character, Jess,  continues to lead appeared in the beginning episodes of season 5 she will spend the majority of the season sequestered to jury duty  as we’re sure fans have figured out already.

This plot allows Deschanel time for maternity leave (congrats) and opens up the opportunity for Fox’s recurring role.

Megan Fox plays Reagan, a pharmaceutical rep who’s in town for business and rents Jess’s 4D apartment during her stay.  Things spice up when her past romantic relationship with Cece (Hanna Simone) is revealed. Surprisingly or not, this news doesn’t make Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Cece’s fiancée, happy. The cast continues to bring the familiar laughs and wit throughout the season as Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) adjust to their new living conditions.
