Amazon has released the first full trailer for the Borat sequel, Sacha Baron Cohen’s filmed-in-secret follow-up to his hit 2006 film.

Filmed with the plan to release the sequel, titled Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, leading up to the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the film will feature Cohen’s fictional journalist coming face-to-face with conservative America, including prominent Republican politicians.

Following an intense bidding war, Amazon will release Borat Subsequent Moviefilm on Oct. 23.

Directed by Jason Woliner, the trailer teases Borat’s move from Kazakhstan to the United States for a special mission — and includes a surprise convention drop-in during a Mike Pence speech. Disguised as Donald Trump and with a half-naked, life-sized doll strung over his shoulder, Cohen announces, “Michael Penance, I brought for you!” while the current U.S. vice president is attempting to speak to the crowd.

The rest of the trailer features the comedian being pulled over by cops, going shopping for Halloween costumes, and visiting a rural town amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Coinciding with the release of the trailer and as part of the film’s marketing campaign, Amazon has also launched social media accounts including a Twitter for Borat Sagdiyev and the “Official Kazakhstan Government” on both Twitter and Instagram.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, starring Cohen and Irina Nowakis written by Cohen, Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman and Lee Kern. The film is produced by Cohen, Monica Levinson and Hines. Buddy Enright, Nicholas Hatton, Baynham, Mazer and Stuart Miller exec produce.
