ASAP Rocky Concert in Chicago

Last week was a great week for concerts in Chicago! Starting with the ASAP Rocky show at the Congress Theatre. Asap had a private in-store meet and greet for his fans and some media people at the RSVP Gallery prior to his show. It was a good precursor to what the show would look like. There were hundreds of fans lined up down the block to try and get an autograph/picture/moment from Asap. They did a great job getting them all in and out, as the ASAP merchandise was flying off the shelves. As for the show, it was a packed house, Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q had just got done performing. Everybody was ready for the Asap Mobb to take the stage and when they did they turned it all the way up! I was posted on-stage with a view of the entire audience. It was amazing to see how engaged they were in the music, when they started stage diving it took the place to a whole ‘nother level. People were crowd surfing, people were getting dosed with water from the stage and they loved every second of it!  It almost felt like a rock-n-roll concert at times. When he went into his signature cuts(Purple Swag, Peso, and Goldie) he barley had to rap a word, the crowd filled in every blank. The highlight of the show for me is when he brought Schoolboy Q back out and performed “Brand New Guys” and  “Hands on the wheel” it was phenomenal! Shout-out to my Harlem homies from the ASAP MOB and my TDE Family, Schoolboy Q and Mac.
