Kanye Comes Home. Hits Stage with Drake in Chicago
28 Jul, 2016
And the beef goes on. Fans were understandably excited Wednesday night when Kanye West hopped up on stage with Drake during Drizzy’s show in Chicago to perform “Pop Style” and “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.”
But it wasn’t just the Views and Life of Pablotracks that got them hyped. It was ‘Ye’s latest stirring of the pot in his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift that really got them.
At some point during the United Center stop on Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour stop, West sounded like he was firing another shot in the controversy of his “Famous” track, dropping a line from the song and saying, “All I gotta say is I’m so glad my wife has Snapchat… now ya’ll can know the truth and can’t nobody talk s–t about Ye no more.
West was seemingly referring to wife Kim’s recent Snapchat session where she defended her husband, saying Swift had approved some of the controversial lyrics to “Famous,” a claim Swift has vehemently denied. In a series of videos, it appeared West recited some of the lines out loud to Swift over the phone and Taylor is heard thanking him and describing the lyrics about them having sex as a “compliment.” Swift reacted quickly to the leak, saying West never told her about the “that bitch” line and that she could never have approved a song she didn’t hear, calling the release of the video a “character assassination.”
