Taylor Swift Tops Celebs Gone Good List
30 Dec, 2015
Taylor Swift is ending 2015 with a bang. For the fourth year in a row the “Bad Blood” singer tops DoSomething.org’s annual list of Celebs Gone Good.
While dominating the music charts and completing her 1989 World Tour where she featured a different high profile guest in every city including Nick Jonas, Fetty Wap and Fifth Harmony, Swift still found time to give back.
The list, now in it’s eighth year, recognizes celebrities who have used their star power for positive social change. In 2015 the 26-year-old singer donated $50,000 to a young girl with leukemia who missed one of her shows to undergo treatment, gave $50,000 to the Seattle Symphony, another $50,000 to her backup dancer’s nephew who is fighting cancer and donated 25,000 books to classrooms in New York City.
Rounding out the top 5 are Miley Cyrus who takes the second place slot for launching her Happy Hippie Foundation, an organization that helps highlight homeless youths, LGBTQ youths and other vulnerable populations, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie and Jon Cena who granted an all-time record 460 wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Here’s a complete list of the top 20 Celebs Gone Good in 2015.
