Ya’ll Still Want A Festival From Ja Rule or Nah?

10 Oct, 2019

Ja Rule joined Wendy Williams for a chat on her talk show on Thursday, where the rapper talked about his new reality TV stint, an upcoming album and more.

On the inevitable topic of the failed Fyre Festival he was a part of in 2017, Williams told Rule that she never looked at the situation as if it were his fault. “That’s the way you’re supposed to look at it, Wendy,” he replied, relieved at the support.

“This is the craziest thing about it. It’s like damned if you, damned if you don’t because the vision of it was mine. I wanted to do an amazing festival.”

“So when they started raising the money and stuff like that, Ja Rule got kind of pushed to the side of making decisions. I get that, it wasn’t my money. I get that, I was sweat equity and the idea,” he continued. “So now, this thing happens. But what you just said is true. If it had went off without a hitch, everybody would have said ‘Oh, look at this great thing that they did.’ Not, ‘Ja Rule thought of it, came to them with the great idea, and they funded it.’ As soon as it blow up, ‘Look what Ja Rule did.’ How does that work?”

But that’s not stopping Ja Rule from planning a new music festival of his own. When asked about his plans, he explained, “The idea of what I was doing was a dope idea. Sometimes you get in bad situations and wrong parters, as we know. And you gotta reset and do it right with the right people.”
