Men’s Journal Honors the ‘Chicago Men of the Year’

10 Dec, 2012

Men’s Journal Magazine opened its interactive pop-up store with a tribute to their 2012 Men of the Year.

Honorees poured into the one-of-a-kind shop at 520 N.  Michigan Avenue in exceptional form, donning individual styles that made it apparent why they were the chosen few.

The coveted list was filled with an array of Chicago notables from television personalities and athletes to restaurateurs-all selected for having an adventurous spirit, confident sense of style, active lifestyle and desire to “live the interesting life.” Those who fit the qualifications ranged from Hall of Fame Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen, PGA Tour Golfer Luke Donald, Former Chicago Bear All-Pro Jerry Azumah and Lettuce Entertain You Restaurateurs RJ and Jerrod Melman.

A who’s who among Chicago were in attendance as the honored guests mingled with the crowd enjoying cocktails and signature passed hors d’oeuvres from RPM Italian.

The items available for purchase were as diverse as the crowd. The ‘man-friendly’ store listed their products in categories for easing shopping: Adventure, electronics, fitness, style, travel.  Each had an individual area in the store-the only interactive pop-up store in the nation. Additional gifts on display were included as part of the publication’s 2012 “Gear of the Year.”

The Men’s Journal pop-up shop is open through December 23rd.
