P Diddy and The Bad Boy Family Are Going on Tour
16 May, 2016
After announcing a pair of reunion gigs, Puff Daddy and the Family will now be taking their show on the road with a 25-date tour that will include sets from Lil Kim, the Lox, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112, Total, Carl Thomas and French Montana. The Bad Boy Family Reunion tour is slated to kick off on Aug. 25 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, and is currently slated to run through an Oct. 8 gig at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
The original May 20 getback was intended as a celebration of the birthday of late Bad Boy superstar Notorious B.I.G.; a gig at Brooklyn’s Barcalys Center was later added on May 21. Those sold-out shows are also slated to feature appearances from Jay Z and Mary J. Blige on night one and MJB alongside Swizz Beatz and DMX on night two.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on May 20. “This isn’t just a concert– this is a moment in hip hop and R&B history,” said Sean “Diddy” Combs in a statement announcing the tour.
“The family and I are so excited to welcome fans into this once in a lifetime experience. This tour is 20 years in the making, and is a celebration of the hits and the Bad Boy lifestyle. The Bad Boy Family has set the standard for concert excellence, and this tour will be a testament to that!”
The Family will preview the reunion on Friday (May 20) when they help kick off the Today Show‘s Summer Concert Series with special performance.
