A Powerball ticket purchased in Lafayette is worth about $435 million this morning, a Hoosier Lottery official said Thursday.

The ticket matched Wednesday’s winning numbers 10-13-28-52-61 and Powerball 2. Hoosier Lottery spokesman Dennis Rosebrough confirmed the ticket had been sold in Lafayette.

Details, Rosebrough said, will come later.

There is one winning ticket for the Wednesday jackpot and it was sold in Indiana, Powerball said on its website.

In July, another Hoosier hit a big jackpot in the Mega Millions game. That ticket, worth about $541 million, was sold at a Speedway gas station in Cambridge City.

Powerball is played in 44 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning are about one in 292.2 million.

The top prize drops back to $40 million for the next drawing Saturday night.
